Fewer is hardly possible – but the true wireless headphones Master & Dynamic MW07 not only shines optically. Our test explains how it sounds.

Master & Dynamic, a New York audio forge, is still relatively unknown in the world. That should and will change, this is likely to contribute to the brand new true wireless headphones MW07 for around $300. The completely wireless in-ear we has invited to the test.

Master & Dynamic MW07: It shines so beautifully

Bling-Bling: The charging case of the Master & Dynamic MW07 entices to permanent cleaning.

Do not mess, but clop: The Americans miss the true wireless headphonesa high-gloss transport and loading case. This looks very solid, well-made and makes a lot of visually – but you always have the desire to remove the fingerprints with a microfibre cloth. At the front are three LEDs, which indicate the state of charge of the built-in battery, on the back is a USB-C socket for charging the battery box. If you open the lid, you will see really nice True Wireless headphones. If you take them out of the case, they go directly into the pairing mode to connect to the smartphone. The in-ear case manufactures master & dynamic from acetate (cellulose acetate). The plastic known from eyeglass frames shimmers somewhat transparent. Each plug weighs a slim 10 grams, the charging case around 80 grams (without pegs).

Master & Dynamic MW07: Control & Battery Life

Really comfortable: The Wing tips of the Master & Dynamic MW07 are very comfortable.

On the right plug is a start / stop button, and skip to title and activate the voice assistant on your smartphone. The left plug has two volume control buttons. Noise-canceling like the Sony WF-SP700N or even fitness sensors like the Bragi The Dash Pro does not have the new one. At least as important: He is very comfortable. This is ensured, among other things, by small silicone hooks (wing tips), which are split and therefore very comfortable to wear. But for a long time you do not have the headphones in your ear anyway: The manufacturer promises a battery life of 3.5 hours. The test was after 3 hours and 26 minutes of closing time – almost a point landing. The competition runs but sometimes an hour longer, such as the Apple AirPods or the Jabra Elite 65t.

Master & Dynamic MW07: That’s what the in-ears sound like

If you have found the right combination of rubber nupsie and wing tip, the headphones are not only good, they also make a lot of music. In the test, the balanced sound with strong, slightly soft basses. The heights were clean, but in the overall picture minimal too quiet. Positive was the pleasant neutral voice reproduction. Paused the music, was listening to a quiet noise, but does not bother in everyday life.

Test conclusion

The Master & Dynamic MW07 not only looks good, it also sounds clean and balanced. Except for a bit too quiet heights, there was nothing to complain about in the listening test. Only with the battery life one does not quite keep in comparison with competing products.
