Electro-Voice Evolve 50 – Portable Linear Column Array Loudspeaker with built-in Bluetooth
Electro-Voice company announced the release of the Evolve 50 Portable Linear Column Array Loudspeaker System. According to the manufacturer, the main advantages of this universal model are excellent sound, rich functionality and excellent performance / weight ratio (having a mass of 26 kg, the novelty can develop up to 127 dB of sound pressure).
Like many other similar systems (RCF Evox 12, JBL Eon One, FBT Vertus CS1000, etc.), the Electro-Voice Evolve 50 consists of an active subwoofer and a fairly compact satellite, which is based on the sound column principle. The configuration of satellite speakers includes eight 3.5-inch wideband drivers, and the subwoofer, meanwhile, is equipped with one 12-inch driver. The 2-band amplifier built into the “sub” function in class D and provides 1000 watts of total output power.
In terms of functionality Evolve 50 can boast the presence of a built-in DSP with 4 presets (Music, Live, Speech and Club) and Bluetooth-interface. Bluetooth-interface, by the way, can be used not only for streaming audio from mobile devices, but also for wireless system management via a smartphone or tablet. The developer claims that using the latest QuickSmartMobile application, you can configure, manage and monitor up to six Evolve 50 systems simultaneously.
