Nice and appealing
Practical plugs where the sound is as attractive as the luxurious exterior.
- Pro: Comfortable thanks to the selection of pillows. Nice and robust. Detailed and clear sound.
- Contra: Slight pace in the upper register. A certain listening power may appear.
Despite the price, the RHA MA650 feels luxurious thanks to the fine aluminum details. They feel well-built, and the impression is enhanced by dust and water protection, according to IPX4. The electronics are located at the ends of the neckband and the generous battery that provides long listening time. Thanks to USB-C connectors they were loaded fairly quickly. Their weight allows the bell to be held in place, and the slip-free material ensures that they do not move. You will not only get a handy bagpiece, but also seven pairs of pillows, in different sizes, designs and materials.
It is therefore easy to get the perfect fit and a good seal. The plugs are quite small and lightweight, but they are not as safe as the MA750 Wireless, which has a hoop to put over the ear. It would certainly have helped if they had an angle following the ear canal, instead of being quite right.
The MA650 does not sound as neutral as the MA750, but has the same glorious open clarity. You can easily hear details that tend to drown in the mix on less refined plugs. It is therefore a pleasure to listen to acoustic music and jazz. The RHA has pulled up the upper middle register, which can raise votes, but it’s a bit of a whistle. It also makes you get tired of your ears for longer listening. The bass goes deep down and also makes cool music compassionate.
Generously with accessories and plugs in various designs.
RHA MA650 Wireless Conclusion
The RHA MA650 Wireless is a pair of very nice plugs that are more robust than you might think. Thanks to the fact that the weight is well distributed and the neck strap is slim fit, they fit well in place. An unusual generous selection of ear pads makes it easy for anyone to find the perfect fit. They have long battery life and are fast charged with USB-C. The sound is appealing and works well with everything from acoustic music to rock. On the other hand, the sound is a bit hard.
